Offspring International offers a range of equipment for offshore floating production and storage facilities such as FPSO, FSO & FLNG. This includes offshore grade mooring chains to ensure station-keeping, together with mooring hawsers, chafe chains and offloading hoses for safe and efficient fluid transfer.
Mooring Chains for FPSO, FSO & FLNG
Offspring International has supplied, through sister company Sanmar Chain International, over 85,000 tonnes of offshore grade mooring chain for projects around the world in the past 20 years alone.
Floating oil and gas facilities including FPSO, FSO and FLNG utilise a range of mooring configurations depending on the requirements of project and location.
For mooring systems including chain such as spread mooring systems, fixed or soft connections to a CALM buoy, or a submerged turret, Offspring International offers a range of stud link and studless chain in R3, R3S, R4, R4S and R5 offshore grades up to and including 220mm diameter.
All Offspring International mooring chains are supplied in line with the latest guidance from the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) including OCIMF 2018 ‘Guidelines for Offshore Tanker Operations’ and classification society requirements.
Offloading Equipment for FPSO, FSO & FLNG
Offspring’s full range of equipment for mooring and offloading operations at floating production and storage facilities is manufactured and supplied in strict accordance with the latest guidelines from the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF), including OCIMF 2018 ‘Guidelines for Offshore Tanker Operations’ and OCIMF 2000 ‘Guidelines for the Purchasing & Testing of SPM Hawsers’.

Mooring Hawsers
Typically, FPSO, FSO & FLNG facilities utilise a tandem mooring arrangement for offloading. Offspring’s range of tandem mooring hawsers comply with OCIMF recommendations that operators’ selection criteria should not only include strength but also energy absorption and fatigue performance. Detailed information on this can be found in the OCIMF 2018 ‘Guidelines for Offshore Tanker Operations’.
Offspring International uses premium quality yarns of multifilament nylon, HT polyester and blended fibres in the manufacture of mooring hawsers.
