Offspring International’s China Operations team has moved into a new office in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province. The move will allow Offspring International to work more closely with manufacturing partners Asian Star Anchor Chain and Zheng Mao, with whom Offspring International has supplied more than 80,000 tonnes of chain over twenty years for some of the world’s largest offshore mooring projects.

Led by regional manager Bill Shen, Offspring International’s dedicated China Operations team comprises June Zhang, Sean Chou, and Emily Lv. “Working with Asian Star Anchor Chain and Zheng Mao, Offspring is able to offer the highest quality mooring chain for all offshore applications. My team and I look forward to continuing to work with our partners to meet the needs of Offspring’s customers,” commented Bill Shen.

On the companies’ partnership, Mark Brooks, sales and marketing director for Offspring International, said, “Offspring was the first to recognise the quality of Chinese mooring chain and to introduce it to the world. We began working with Zheng Mao in 1999, securing the first major offshore chain order for them, or any Chinese manufacturer, in 2000 with the Unocal Big Oil CALM Buoy in Thailand. Since then, Asian Star and Zheng Mao have gone from strength to strength, and with Offspring now offer the world’s largest production capacity for offshore chain as well as the ability to meet the most demanding technical requirements.”

Both Zheng Mao and Asian Star Anchor Chain’s QA/QC systems are accredited to ISO 9001:2015 and enjoy type approval from all the major classification societies.
